Job Description
Commercial Vehicle Fitter | This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and company procedures.
Salary
£14.00ph-£15.45ph

Position Summary
You will be responsible for carrying out vehicle fitting duties in line with established production targets and quality standards. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and adherence to safety and company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble and fit out commercial vehicles of various types.
- Install subframes, tipping gear, loader cranes, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Use a range of tools and equipment, including hand tools, pistol drills, riveters, MIG welders, and oxy-acetylene torches.
- Read and interpret commercial vehicle drawings and carry out accurate measurements.
- Ensure all work complies with legal requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Carry out additional duties as required to support operational needs.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
- You are expected to demonstrate the following:
- Sound knowledge of commercial vehicles, ideally including tipper trucks.
- Proven ability to fit subframes, tipping gear, loader cranes, and hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
- Competence in MIG welding.
