The company that started off in East London in 1973 now has 10 factories across the UK, making us a truly nationwide business. Right from the outset, we’ve led the industry in quality, in innovation and the highest standards of customer service.

Thompsons Croydon

Croydon is our Group HQ. As well as three production factories, this is also where our administration and product design functions are based. Croydon also has a new £250k shotblast and paint facility, as well as eParts and S-Tech services too.

Thompsons Blackburn

Centrally located in the UK, Blackburn now has four factories serving customers throughout the industrial areas of the Midlands and the North. As the largest of the Thompsons locations, Blackburn also has extensive workshop and paint facilities, as well as the leading role in the development of e-Parts and S-Tech, together with the production of T-Waste vehicles.

Thompsons Scotland

Our newest location, the extensive facility outside Edinburgh takes Thompsons north of the border with a factory dedicated to the Scottish market. It’s a fact that Scots tippers can be somewhat different from English ones, so Edinburgh is well suited to satisfy every customer requirement. Edinburgh also has a particular expertise in building aluminium, tarmac and bulk bodies too, which is of great value to the company as a whole.

Charlton, Dover

Charlton joined Thompsons in 2003, and with top quality, innovative products and strong customer loyalty has become a major part of our Group activities. As well as tippers, Charlton also produces a range of specialist bodies for the plant hire, building services, utilities and local authority sectors, as well as truly bespoke designs for individual applications.
