Thompsons Waste

Just like Thompsons tipper bodies, our skiploaders are strong and robust, built for reliability and durability over a long service life. They cover the full spectrum of operations, whether working on urban and residential duties or shifting industrial waste such as glass, metals, plastics and wood. A heavy duty platform, powerful hydraulics and wireless remote control operation ensure that these skiploaders work fast and efficiently, maximising their daily work rate.

Our models for 4×2 trucks are backed up by larger units for 6×2 and 6×4 operation whether as solo 26t trucks or with drawbar trailers running at the full 44t train weight.

Thompsons Waste

To many operators, a hookloader offers an extra level of versatility over a normal tipper – simply because as well as working like a standard tipper you can also drop off one body and collect another. Which is why many tipper fleets also now have hookloaders as well.

Ideally suited to high volume waste and recycling work, a hookloader can typically drop off one empty container at a factory then collect another full one from somewhere else – all of which keeps the truck moving and productive. And, of course, hookloader containers can be of different types and sizes too, allowing the truck to serve all types of customers. To support its core tipper operator customer base, Thompsons now offers premium spec hookloader products too.

Thompsons Waste

Because Thompsons offers hookloaders, we had to have an optimum body to go with them. And the Wastemaster is exactly that – in essence, a demountable Loadmaster.

Because these bodies can have the toughest lives of all, Wastemaster takes its design cues from the double – skinned Loadmaster Max. Since hookloader bodies have to take the additional stresses of being loaded and unloaded from a chassis (as well as being often put to rest on uneven ground) they also require the greatest possible structural strength and rigidity. In typical construction and site environments, Wastemaster addresses these extra requirements perfectly.
Wastemaster bodies are also offered in a variety of side panel heights to cater for all types of loads from earth and demolition debris to waste paper and scrap.
Of course, Wastemaster bodies can work with other makes of hookloaders too, so they have a proven, industry – wide acceptability.
