Thompsons is the U.K.’s favourite tipper bodybuilder, selling more bodies than all our competitors combined. Now with a total of 10 factories all hard at work, we are delivering more products and services than ever. In Croydon where the company is based Thompsons has three factories since 2000, we’ve built another four in Blackburn and also have Charlton bodies of Dover. Thompsons Scotland is groups latest acquisition in Edinburgh. In these 20 years and despite a major economic recession, our turnover has grown year on year. As we expand the group Thompsons continuously reinvests to provide better quality and make our factories more efficient.

Thompsons Croydon

Croydon is the Thompsons group HQ. As well as having three production facilities, this is where we design our bodies, machine tools and production processes.

Thompsons Blackburn

Centrally located in the UK, Blackburn has four sites all purposely designed for efficient high volume tipper body production. Located right next to the M65, Blackburn also offers industry-leading standards via our E-Parts website and service support from S-Tech.

Charlton Dover

Highly regarded for tippers, Charlton also builds a vast range of highly specialised and bespoke truck bodies principally serving customers such as builders merchants, brick block hauliers, utilities, highways support and local authorities.

Scotland

Our Scotland factory completes our UK coverage. We have sold more and more tipper bodies north of the border, supplying tipper bodies to several Scottish fleets.
