Launched at the start of the year, Thompsons all – new Paymaster tipping trailer will be one of the highlights of this year’s TIP-Ex Show.

Shown in the livery of Hurt (Plant Hire) Ltd, Paymaster is purpose – designed for carrying stone and aggregates. Offering a payload of around 28 tonnes, the all – steel Paymaster completes the Thompsons tipper range. For the first time ever, the company now offers tipper operators complete bodywork solutions for trucks covering the whole market from 7.5 to 44 tonnes gcw.

Befitting its market – leading position, there will also be a wide range of Thompsons rigid tippers around the Show, including five examples from sister company Charlton.

Whilst Thompsons is showing some of its latest developments in tipper body design on the company’s main stand in Hall A, perhaps the biggest news is the introduction of ‘Thompsons Total’ – a fully integrated after – sales activity that brings together all Thompsons’ various elements of service and parts support.

Taking a clear lead from how truck chassis manufacturers deliver their nationwide customer back – up, Thompsons Total will be the first such scheme from a UK tipper bodybuilder.

Continuing expansion of field service, enhanced levels of parts availability and further developments to Thompsons highly successful internet – based ‘eParts’ programme are the key elements of Thompsons Total.

With the recent commissioning of a new £500,000 shotblast and paint facility at its third factory in Blackburn, 2016 is already a key year for Thompsons. At Croydon, a similar facility is being installed this summer. The real bonus of these investments for customers is that Thompsons now has 100% quality control over the entire production process, from the first cutting of steel sheet through to delivering a fully finished vehicle immediately ready for work.

Thompsons is also delighted to have been able to promote its in-house charity, the Allan Burton Memorial Foundation, as the nominated charity for TIP-Ex 2016.

Aimed principally at supporting the major UK Cancer Charities, the Foundation has so far raised over £65,000. Visitors to the Thompsons at TIP-Ex will be able to show off their golfing skills via an on-stand simulator, the proceeds from which will support the charity still further.

The TIP-Ex Show is in Harrogate, 2nd – 4th June.
